Real life motivational and business speaker, Raleigh R. Pinskey is the writer and performer of a most enjoyable and inspirational 75 minutes, directed and aided by Bryan Rasmussen. Starting with the program, the first time an actual mirror has been attached, marks a very unusual evening. Raleigh, dressed in an all white suit, announces “Children of all ages – come! The name of this journey is choice, choice, choice.”
Raleigh is the Angel of all Possibilities from a brown trunk, and changes from a white suit to a white gown and becomes the quiet angel, content to be on a mediocre cloud. Without thinking, she circles the five button for a more fluffy cloud, and hears a voice off stage tempting her with the ten cloud where there are no blue and red states, just euphoric states, in her view chocolate in one hand, chardonnay in the other.
On the video screen, Raleigh makes choices of the planet she wants, her parents, mentors and friends and her choice of gender and appearance. She brings out large celebrity cut-outs of movie stars in their most famous roles to help her decide: Harrison Ford, Angelina Jolie, Judy Garland and Beyoncé, and then takes them all away, embracing Jolie, the barrier breaker.
She vividly reenacts being born, starting with the sex act to life inside the uterus, to birth, an acting triumph.
Raleigh asks the audience to use the mirror as they sing the Alphabet Song: “A” you’re adorable, “B” you’re so beautiful, etc.”
